Despite Inkjet and Laserjet Printers becoming predominant in today's printing world, there is still a great demand for replacement Printer Ribbons as there is still a surprising number of dot matrix or impact printers being used. Impact printers have ribbons, either on spools or in cartridges, that contain that are soaked in ink and then transmit that ink onto the paper by being hit by small pins in the printing head. These spools and cartridges can be recycled or remanufactured, which is the process of replacing the old used nylon with new inked nylon and recycling the cartridge.
